is held at CRC and is nominally sponsored by CRC, George was a (the?) founder of the AR&PC and the match really should be considered an AR&PC event held in his memory. Note that the tournament was originally run by George Kaser and was then just the Kaser's Silver Trophy Match (One feature was that class awards were always given even if only one shooter was in a particular class, and all awards used to be plaques or trophies {George owned Arvada Trophy}). It became the Kaser Memorial match after George Kaser's passing. In the past it also had a luncheon served by Dorothy Kaser (George's widow) and the Kaser children. This was essentially the club picnic back then. Lunch was served between CF and 45 and made 45 shooting difficult to say the least. |
